He chuckles, tugging gently on her lower lip. “Yes you are, my love.”
She smiles moving so she straddled him pinning his hands beside his head, “Why me?” She asks leaning down to kiss him, letting her hands slip down his chest.
“People can think what they’d like, they can do nothing to me.” He says, kissing her softly and pulling her closer to him.
She nods resting her forehead against his taking a breath, “I love you Alexander.” She said pressing her lips to his wrapping her arms around his neck.
He kisses her back, laying her on the bed and moving beside her, pulling her into his side as he kisses her forehead. “I love you too, Esmeralda.”
She smiles as she hears him say it, and she can hardly believe it. “You mean it right?” She asks looking up at him, “This isn’t one of your games or master plots to make me a better slave?”
“Had you been anyone else, it probably would be,” he admits, caressing her cheek. “But I couldn’t do that to you,” he murmurs, leaning down and kissing her gently. “I’d never do that to you.”
She smiles stroking his cheek and kissed him deeply, letting him pull her closer. “I told you I was more than just a slave.”

She swallowed nodding slowly, “I do.” She said sadly turning her head again as he lets go of her face, “But i can’t….i’m not supposed to love you.”
He presses his lips to her jaw and she turns back to him. “You never did follow the rules,” he says softly, kissing her hungrily. “I love you too.” He says honestly,resting his forhead on hers.
She bit her lip, “Really?” She asked taking his face in her hands, “You’re not supposed to love me either.” She murmurs, pressing her lips to his. “People are going to think horribly of it.”
He kisses her deeply, pulling back some. “Do you love me?” He asks quietly, brushing some hair from her face as she looks down and he tilts her chin back up so she could meet his eyes. “Esmeralda, do you love me?”

“What is it?” He asks, grazing his teeth over her collarbone, kissing the hollow of her throat as he waited for her question.
She bit her lip running her hand down his arms, “Could you?” She took a breath, “Could you ever love me?” She said quietly, regretting it as soon as it left her lips.
He stares at her for a moment, his hand coming up to her cheek, his thumb tracing her lower lip as he thinks about her question. Could he love a slave? Looking into her dark green eyes, he leans up, capturing her lips with his in a slow, sensual kiss. “I think I could,” he murmurs softly against her lips.
She nods slowly pressing her lips against his again, “Would it be to much to ask if i asked you if you did?” She rambled some biting her lip as she pulled back again then shook her head, “Never mind, don’t answer that.” She said swallowing, pressing her lips against his again not wanting to have to deal with the rejection.
